We are excited to offer a rewarding career opportunity for a Operations Supervisor to join our Tidewater team, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. This role is designed for an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter who excels with minimal supervision.

Position Overview: The Superintendent will manage a range of warehouse functions, including the movement and handling of cargo, trans-loading, warehousing, and examination of containerized goods. The primary focus will be on the day-to-day management of Unionized Warehouse operations, yard, and surrounding areas, with an emphasis on maximizing productivity and ensuring cargo integrity.

·        Provide leadership and supervise the workforce to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality performance, and exceed company and customer expectations.

·        Promote safety for all employees, contractors, and guests.

·        Deliver professional and proactive service to commercial customers.

·        Accurately organize and stage customer product orders for delivery.

·        Crosstrain Warehouse Associates and collaborate with other departments to enhance communication and operational fluidity.

·        Maintain accurate monthly warehouse inventory.

·        Address employee issues and concerns to foster effective relations and reduce non-productive time.

·        Manage overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.

·        Encourage leadership and self-motivation among Warehouse Associates to achieve company goals.

·        Coach, counsel, discipline, plan, monitor, and appraise Warehouse Associate performance.

·        2-3 years of Supervisory experience.

·        Experience managing in a unionized environment is required.

·        Working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel.

·        Strong communication skills and diplomacy.

·       Must pass CBSA Security Background Clearance.

Flexibility to all shifts is required (Morning and Afternoon Shift)
