Transportation Coordinator (Entry Level)

Tidewater Container Services Inc. provides import/export container inspection, warehousing and transload services.
Career Opportunity
We are a looking to fill a full-time position of Transportation Coordinator (Entry Level).
This position will be of interest to persons with experience in the field of import/export logistics as well as to recent graduates of Transportation Management or Transportation Logistics programs from a post-secondary institution.
Job Duties
- Coordinate transportation services with customers, marine terminal operators, brokers, and other supply chain partners.
- Track container movements, maintain inventory records, and manage related systems.
- Manage transportation documentation, including transloading documents, packing lists, and inventory records, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, respond to inquiries, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Provide administrative support, including greeting visitors, organizing meetings, and maintaining office records.
- Support daily operations, data entry, customer billing, and front desk coverage as needed.
- Assist with inventory audits, health and safety documentation, and compliance research.
- Backup coverage for other administrative roles.
- Other duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School graduate (minimum)
- Post secondary education and/or experience in Transportation Management or Logistics (preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem solving in a changing environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and keyboarding
- Professional communication in both written and spoken English
Hours:
- Monday to Friday - Afternoon Shift.
- Flexibility required at times for back up coverage of 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, or 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
Location: 2929 41B Street, DELTA
Employment is conditional upon applicant successfully completing all necessary pre-employment requirements including obtaining a CBSA Reliability Security Clearance to qualify for employment. The Company is a participant in the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Partners in Protection (PIP), Customs-Trade Partnership against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and other international security programs in which the Company is a participant (the “Security Programs”).
